Best of 2006 - Jeff Hulett of Jeffrey James and the Haul (Snowglobe)
Friday night Jeff Hulett played a CD release show for his side project Jeffrey James and the Haul. My dog, Boo, is their number one canine fan and once had a private show played for him. He is a rock star!
Anyway, Jeff is the drummer fro Snowglobe and also got a shout out on my podcast with Tim Regan - you listened to it right? Anyway, Jeff is a super nice guy and a really talented songwriter, and I think he is going to be HUGE.
Here is his Best of 2006 list and some pics from his CD release. Nice.
So I've thought about it and although there are tons of songs that have gotten me through the last year, these 6 have been there through the thick and thin of it.
In no particular order...
Sufjan Stevens - "Predatory Wasp" and "Decatur" from the Illinoise album
Cat Power - "Willie", from the Greatest
New Pornographers - "These are the Fables" from Twin Cinema
Luna - "Still at Home" off of Rendevous
Low - "California" from the Great Destroyer
Okkervil River - "For Real" from Black Sheep Boy
