The Brokedown - Islands

So, you can add former Memphian Ross Flournoy of The Brokedown to the list of people I met at SXSW the night of Lucero's show that I sort of forgot I met. Luckily, Ross knew Justin from AQ and we got an invite to their show the next night. Since everyone in Memphis is separated by exactly one person, it was funny when Ross mentioned that his Mom had sent him a copy of an article about the band Glossary that I just happend to have written. We were instant buds after that.

Anyways, I have an interview scheduled with Daniel Smith of Danielson and while trolling the internets for research I came across info that he played a show last weekend with The Brokedown. That's when I remembered, not only do I have pictures of their SXSW performance, but they slipped me a disc of demos from their upcoming new album! I can't beleive I totally forgot about having those!! They were great live and I really love their new songs! Doh!!!
