Cribs - Hey Scenesters!

Sounding like a cross between The Stokes and The Libertines, how could I not post about a band that the Kaiser Chiefs cite as an influence? Not to mention the kitsch value of the first track off their record New Fellas. The Cribs share the same UK label as Bloc Party, Her Space Holiday, Bright Eyes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and My Morning Jacket.

Consisting of three brothers, The Cribs is jean jacket wearin', budweiser spillin', fist pumpin' indie rawk. Their sound is rough, but it still has enough hook to make me want to see them live. I can definitely see myself getting caught up bouncing around with the crowd smashed up against the stage.
