Mellowdrone - Fashionably Univited

Oh, the trials and tribulations of being an MP3 blogger. Do you guys realize how heartbreaking it is when you're listening to your music collection on random and a song comes on that inspires you to post about it, only after doing a quick search, you find that they've been posted about eleventy thousand times? It is so annoying! I try really hard to write about bands that you're not hearing about everywhere else. I almost gave up for the night, when this song popped up and I realized that I had been remiss to have not mentioned them sooner.

Mellowdrone is another band that started out as a one man project but has blossomed into a full-on band. Jonathan Bates recorded his first EP A Demonstration Of Intellectual Property, from which this track is taken, with a PC, a Casio SK-1, Line6 Guitar Pod and a Telecaster. The record is lyrically dense and well concieved, but the best thing about it is: You can go to Mellowdrone's website and download the whole thing.
