Petset - Something Vague

Japanese acoustic hipsters, Petset, seem to be a bit of a mystery - but their music is no mystery at all. Emotionaly driven with light beats and that breath-easy kinda feeling that makes ya wanna open all the windows and let the sun shine in. Smatterings of live horns, piano, and endearing melodies that set this, their first album, Sound-Sphere (2002), in a league of it's own. Pulling from the sounds of the late 60's, they create something uplifting and charming - childlike and endearing - all in all, a nice trip. A modern adventure with its' roots in the past.
