Horace Andy - You Are My Angel

Horace Andy is a classic reggae vocalist from Jamaica. Da part near da beach, boyeee! I don't know. He's from Kingston, so that might be near the beach, I'm not sure. Really we're all lazy here at Scenestars. It has something to do with the Memphis heat and humidity. The high is supposed to be 91 degrees today. Which is why I'm all about listening to some reggae. In fact I think my next couple of posts will just be reggae and dub and music influenced by either of those.

Moving on...

Horace Andy has a catalogue that spans 5 decades. He's released albums on several labels, done some self-produced works and even lent his talents to Massive Attack; consequently, the only vocalist featured on every Massive Attack album. The music itself isn't super important; the backing track on You Are My Angel is the same as Ronnie Davis' - The Power of Love. So focus on the voice. It's unique, at times sounding feminine.
