Bebel Gilberto - Cada Beijo

So I about popped happy vein when I found out that Bebel Gilberto has blessed us with a another sultry album. This self titled release is a breath of fresh, bossa-nova air. Recorded by producer Marius de Vries (Madonna, Bjork, Annie Lennox), she takes us on an emotional journey into her life - full of wonder. The music itself, athough using traditional elements, shows us a more modern side of Bebel - traces of electro synth, mellow driving beats, and an overall lush atmospheric quality - truley setting her in a genre of her own. A very mature recording - finely crafted, aimed at the heart, and flirting with the dancefloor.

The artists that helped create Bebel's music are as talented as Bebel is lovely. Songs laced with suprising wit, silky vocals, and an overall feel that softly takes you to a land of golden beaches and smokey piano lounges. This release follows the largely successful Tanto Tempo and Tanto Tempo Remixes, and it shows, yet again, that Bebel is the new queen of cool.
