Ryan Adams - Nighttime Gals
Anyway, I think at last count he has like 82 unreleased albums. These tracks come from his first solo unreleased album. Back in 2000, before Heartbreaker, Ryan Adams made a record that was tentatively titled Destroyer. Since it was going to be his first solo album after the demise of his former band, alt-country favorites Whiskeytown, he wanted the record to be perfect. Anyway, he decided that he was only "in like" with the songs rather than "in love," and so the record was shelved. Memories of You was the only song that made the cut and ended up on Heartbreaker, the rest were pretty much forgotten. Until now. You wanna hear the rest? Ok, go here.
Adams's next official release will be Cold Roses. It's release date has been moved back to May 3rd. If you haven't been to his website lately, you should really check out the hilarious phone call between him and two executives at Lost Highway. Classic!
One more thing, there's this guy here in Memphis, and if you live here, if I told you his name you would totally know who he is, but he wishes to remain anonymous and so he always makes me look way more in the know than I am. So big thanks to DP. You rawk!
