Balun - Snol

The Netlabel world is filled with many a laptop producers - some good, some bad, some very questionable. Then there are bands like Balun [insert breathy, very pleased sound here]. They are comprised of three individuals from the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico who bring us a bit of melodic, electro-acoustic pop sunshine. They lay it on beautifully using several electronic and acoustic instruments such as the melodica, a violin, guitars and an accordion. They released thier EP, While Sleeping, over at Observatory Online, whose primary focus is on a deep range of electronic artists. The EP has 4 tracks that leave me craving more of their dream-state, hazy bliss. A true gem-in-the-rough in the Netlabel world. Listen, dream ,sigh, ponder and relax.
