Not only am I music blogger and DJ, but sometimes I also like to pick up an instrument and join in the fun. Here's one of the tracks on which I had the pleasure of dropping some guitar on the 2003 album "Where Life Begins" by house-music godfather Larry Heard. Larry, originally from Chicago (where he helped invent 'house music' with such classics as 'Can You Feel It' and 'Washing Machine'), moved to Memphis in the late '90s and got back into the indie adult-dance game after a short hiatus. I hooked up with him through ex-Scenestars contributor Brad, and added some jazzy noodlings to a couple tracks, this one and "Just One Minute." Here's a nice interview with Larry, saving me from having to run through his very long and unique CV. Enjoy this (LH, if you see this, I know you're not a big fan of downloading, but Scenestars viewers definitely support the artists we feature on here. EZ, Mark).
