Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Pin
They formed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, two-and-a-half years ago when Karen O (vocals) and Nick Zinner (guitar) found one another in a New York bar. They started out writing acoustic folk songs together before they settled into the rock-n-roll, art-punk, disco-sleaze whatever-you-wanna-call-it band they are today. They called Karen's old Ohio college pal Brian Chase (drums) to bring the thunder and backbone into the mix. With Nick playing through two amps, there would be no need for a bass player.
This album, Fever To Tell (Interpol 2003), is a free-wheeling rock'n' roll ride with punk attitude. But through all of it, the emotions stand clear and tall.
