Stefan Altenburger wasn't known, at first, for his mellow brand of playful dub electronica, but more for his art work, which had him on the road for some years. When he did decide to settle down and make an album, 'Or' was born. Stefan made the superb decision to sign up the heavily accented, yet sweet and subtle voice of Miss Kitten. Now, I have this thing for female vocalists - I mean, really have a thing. She appears on six tracks, and her lyrics are evil and cynical and funny with a somehow appealing monotonous tone that completes the tone of the songs. In fact, I find myself skipping to the tracks that she has blessed everytime I listen to this album. At any rate, it has an overall warm and fuzzy vibe that appeals to the "i gotta find a deep ass groove fo my butt" portion of my brain. Dig?
