Radioboy - Hollywood
Now this child, Radioboy, has something to say - and with attitude. This moody little brat is quite upset with the major corporations of the US . . . Starbucks, McDonalds, Nike, Hollywood in general, etc. Usually, when you run across something anti-whatever, it's gonna be pretty wordy - i.e. Micheal Moore. Well it seems that young Radioboy has managed to do this without uttering word one. Hard-edged, gritty and quasi-analog with a quite a few layers of sounds - some of which are from the environment that the song is based on. Yeah - it can get kinda pissed-off sounding, but with the state of big corporations and how they run themselves, there is more than a bit to be pissed at.
Due to the theme of this album, Mechanics of Destruction, this album is available for free download over at Tiger Sushi (thanks guys!). And to quote, "The political statement is upfront and for all Herbert fans witnessing the transformation of a quaterpounder into Radiobotics is something completely mesmerizing. All the tracks featured on this Lp are made to be freely available and circulated amongst all interested." What a pal! So click on over and give more of it a listen - then run on out to the nearest big company and give them a mighty finger of gloomy doom!
