Broadcast - Before We Begin

These Space Age Popsters are nestled in bewteen a few decades - somewhere around the 60's-90's - and a good mix it is. Thier music kinda pulls me back to my not-to-long ago passion for Lounge music - but they do this blended with the upmost of taste and stylized psychedelic edge. Having said all that - I'll take a step back and tell you that was the old Broadcast. Thier latest work, Haha Sound, takes a new approach. More obviously electronic than thier past works, they still keep their slow, even, loungish but quirky pace. They continue to pull from the styles of decades past, but have added new mildy tweaked electronic elements with flair. The songs each have a unique feel to them and full of obscure emotions as well as being playfully experimental. Quite enchanting this lot.
