Where would music be today without the spicy sounds of Brazil? Two Itailian brothers teamed up to endulge in their passion for Brazilian music and 70's groove to form Soulstance. They tend to get filed away with the likes of various acid jazz and, oddly enough, trip-hop and for reasons far beyond me. Their music is a clean organic vibe - live bass, flutes, guitars, congas... all wrapped up in a nice little package of laid back grooviness. For this, their third album, Act On!, they enlisted other live musicians to complete a cozy journey, from Jazz to Lounge and Latin. Music for sunny days on the porch with a healthy pitcher of Caipirinhas
