Manic Street Preachers - The Love of Richard Nixon
More piping hot music for your sexy bod (ode to Uncle Grambo). This is the new single from Manic Street Preachers' forthcoming Lifeblood due out in the UK on November 1st. They worked with Goldfrapp mixer Tom Elmhirst and have made their most accessible album yet. Nicky Wore told NME, "The mixer of Goldfrapp has been working with us, and he’s given it a really lovely sheen and a modern edge. We’ve been listening to The Associates, early New Order, Joy Division. It’s ‘The Holy Bible’ for 35-year-olds!"
Eye scratching out shall commence in 3,2,1....but I do really dig Glasnost.
If you are unfamiliar with MSP, I wouldn't know where to begin to fill you in on their infamous history. Their albums are classics in the UK and barely get a mention, if they even make it to release, in the states. One of the founding members disappeared from his Cardiff apartment back in the mid-nineties, which I figure the final song on the record, Cardiff Afterlife, deals with.
