Critters Buggin' - Mullet Cut

Critters Buggin is one of those bands I just happened across some years back, and they have become one of my favorites. Thier line up fluctuates with each release, giving each album a different vibe. They tend to float around a kind of freakish-jazz blended with hard-edged experimental rockish summin-or-another. They make me think to a conversation I was having with Rachel the other night about how some people have the need to compare a band's sound to other bands - kinda like a reference point so they can decide, before hearing them, if they are worthy of checking out or not. Critters Buggin' is one of those bands that I cannot and will not compare to any other band out there - they are a stand-alone and deeply unique, talented group of musicians who break a few molds with every track.
