22-20's - Devil In Me

This band of bluesmen wannabes remind me of the music I've listened to being played on Beale Street my entire life. Sure, there's not a lot of new ground being broken on the debut from the 22-20's, but considering most people have only heard a derivative form of this music staple, it's probably gonna blow up all over Great Britain as the latest greatest thing. And that's fine by me. Rockabilly may be a novelty in most places, but it's the backbone of the music scene in Memphis and we've kind of always been more than happy to impress visitors with our hidden treasures from The Dempsey's to The Oblivians. Maybe the 22-20's will be able to pick up where Jon Spencer's Blues Explosion crapped out.
