Whiskeytown - Don't Wanna Know Why

Ryan Adams has been in a lot of bands. The most recognized early one probably being a post-punk outfit called The Patty Duke Syndrome. But supposedly he was an asshole and they broke up. Then he started a band called Whiskeytown and just as they became arguably the most critcally acclaimed alt-country act around, everyone in the group kept quitting because he was so hard to deal with. They finished their third full-length album entitled Pneumonia right before the band disentigrated, but due to some label problems, it wasn't released until well after Ryan had established his solo career. It brought new fans to the table and made people wonder what they could have been if Adams wasn't an enfant terrible. Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with his prolific output as a solo artist, besides I'm kind of partial to assholes myself.
