Loretta Lynn and Jack White as a duet are gonna draw attention just for the detroit-boy meets nashville-songbird qualities alone. Once you hear this piece you will immediately understand how compatible a garage punk and a true country music Madame can make something so wrong sound sooo right. The Van Lear Rose is a Jack White produced country album from one of the best country artists out there. The idea for these two artists to work together all came about when Lynn heard The White Stripes cover one of her tunes. So, like any good-hearted country lady she invited Jack down to Nashville for a glass of lemonade.
If you have any appreciation for an ol' hole in the wall as a good night out you can certainly relate to Portland Oregon. I recommend the entire album for all the old gold country fans. Oh... get a pitcher to go.
