Warren Zanes - Where We Began

I really love the album Memory Girls. After the demise of Del Fuegos, Warren Zanes went back to school to get his bachelor's degree and caught the academic bug, eventually receiving two masters and a doctorate degree and ending up with a teaching position at Manhattan's School of Visual Arts. With the pop sensibility of Jon Brion, it's sad that so many people missed out on this great album. I guess there's no room left for singers to break through without dancers behind them.

BTW, Warren is opening for Beth Gibbons of Portishead fame at The Roxy in Boston on October 13th. Mark your calendars Bostonians.
