HEM - Half Acre

I don't know much about HEM. I picked up their CD at Tower one day because I thought the title was interesting. What could an album entitled Rabbit Songs possibly be about? Well, according to their website the album is "No samples, no synths, no Pro-Tools mixing and no digital studio wizardry ... Rabbit Songs is an old school album, recorded the old school way." My conclusion? They could just as easily have called themselves Badly Drawn Girl.

Their latest collaboration, Eveningland, hits the streets October 5th.
